HVCC North STEM Education Center

Today I had the privilege to attend the ribbon cutting for the STEM Education Center at Hudson Valley North. The new two-story, 14,500 square foot building includes state-of-the-art labs for anatomy, biology, chemistry, microbiology, and physiology, as well as classrooms, student support space, and offices to serve approximately 1,100 students. The New $12.5 million project was developed as partnership among Federal, State, Regional, County, Town, and Private organizations.

Hudson Valley Community College North provides degree and certification programs in health care, applied technology, and STEM. As the physical infrastructure continues to grow, it will be important to continue to build the human infrastructure like public transit, recreation opportunities, and housing so the HVCC graduates like nurses, electricians, and skilled trades will stay in Malta, Saratoga County, and region, and fill the needs we have here.

I’m Rick Handley and I am running for the Malta Town Board.
